This year there were alot of moments from Hollywood that we will forget when new ones are created, but my top ten thoughts have something to do with nothing.
Here are my Top Ten Thoughts of 2010
By RachelMae.com here they are in no particular order, even though they are numbered.
Number 10: I dont want to be a clone. I dont want the media or anyone else telling me who I am. I have roots in my family and from where I come from and those things are part of who I am. I like to be authentic.
Number 9: Extrinisic materials are not what motivates me. I am motivated by whats good in life and by justice.
Number 8: There were not alot of deals during Black Friday. I saw some good deals like a lap top from Walmart that was a 15.6 inch Toshiba for $186.00 or something. Another good deal was off of Woot or something it was a 32 inch HDTV for $219.00 and it had no tax and no shipping. It was a great deal online. There were some, but I remember when you could get a tv or some item for like a dollar.
Number 7: Shape Ups really work. I think Shape Ups really work for those who are active. They feel like a rocking chair and they are neat shoes. I like the colors and styles they are coming in.
Number 6: Dogs. I always have dogs on my mind. I saw a dog the other day walking around and I was thinking of how I could help him find his home again or how I could get him to a Humane Society so that he would be alright. I didnt get a chance to help him, because he seemed like he was going to find his way on his own, but I usually always think of how I can help an animal if they seem lost or need help. Its better to let the animal be if they seem skiddish, they may be a good dog that just is trying to protect themself. I love dogs and all animals.
Number 5: Sherpa Blankets. Sherpa blankets seem to be the thing this year. I started buying Sherpa blankets a while ago and they are great. Sherpa blankets are great for my dogs they love to be like a wolf in sheeps clothing. And they are perfect for keeping warm. If you are interested in Sherpa blankets go to sherpablanket.com. I got one of my Sherpa blankets from that site.
Number 4: Vegetables. Its easy to get caught up in the signs and the popular restaurants out there, but I have had eating more vegetables on my mind this year and its worked out for me well. I maintain a weight and dont have to worry about feeling great, if I am eating great vegetables. Be sure to wash your vegetables well if you are buying them from the produce isles of your supermarket.
Number 3: Cold weather. I love cold weather and its been on my mind since I have been out and about. I love cold weather, because its great for wearing jackets and getting a good coffee or hot chocolate. Its great to enjoy something like weather, it doesnt cost and its for real.
Number 2: Starbucks. I have been really thinking about Starbucks. Just kidding I am not thinking of Starbucks that much, but I do think of it sometimes when I would like a great latte, plain bagel, green tea with no sugar, or another one of their treats.
Number 1: Family. I think of my family. My family is on my mind this year, and every year and my family is not just people. Its animals too. I believe that dogs are part of the family.
Those are some great things that Rachelmae.com has been thinking of this year.
Remember when Black Friday was something you couldnt find out until the ads actually appeared on your front lawn. Black Friday is really different today, because we can get a sneak peek at the Black Friday ads online way before. I think its a good thing for the stores, that people see a sneak peek of ads before they are suppose to come out. It builds the excitement about getting a great deal.
Those lines for Black Friday are still outrageous and probably worse than they ever have been. I look forward to seeing some lines myself. I am thinking about braving one of the largest malls on Friday. It should be atleast entertaining. I would hope to get a great deal on something. I am not sure what I want to get yet, but there will be something cheap enough for me to think about waiting in a line for. At a point I dont think its worth it to wait in a line at 4 am. I also dont want to deal with any hostility or defensive attitudes. But I think that keeping my calm and cool attitude if I choose to brave the large crowds of black friday will over make me a winner. Its one thing to get a great deal and its another thing to get in trouble. Its just not worth it. There will always be another great deal you can get.
So there are a couple of things I would recommend for a black friday success. I would recommend bringing something to read, have a snack, have your money secured, have a bottle of water (if you have somewhere to hold it), you may need a sweater if you are waiting in a line outside, and have your cell phone charged. A charged cell phone is good, because you can call and share how great a deal you got.
